Todd County Central is 2-0 for the first time since 2010 as the Rebels made the long trek to Fort Knox and beat the Eagles 26-6. The Rebels got two rushing touchdowns from MaQureim Mimms and single scores from Isaiah Fingers and Asa Young.

“We may have won, but we are still making offensive mistakes that are hurting us,” said Rebel Head Coach Les Broady. “We could be really good if we could cut out some of this mistakes.”

The Rebel defense held their opponent to six points for the second straight week.

“Our defense tonight stepped up to the plate and made big play after big play. They ran to the ball and made big hits, and it was fun to watch them fly around on the field,” Broady said.

It’s been more than 20 years since the Rebels have started a football season 3-0. They look to reach that mark Friday as they host Caverna in the first of three straight home games in Elkton leading into the district schedule September 22 at Hancock County.
