This week’s Spotlight Athlete is Christian County quarterback Kolbe Langhi. The Colonel senior set the Christian County record with 9,002 passing yards in four seasons as the Christian County signal caller. He threw 81 touchdown passes and added 20 more on the ground, while completing 56-percent of his passes.

In his first game as a starter his freshman year, Langhi threw for 370 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Caldwell County. The Colonels were 32-16 in four years with Langhi at the helm.

Kolbe also uses his 6-foot-6 frame on the basketball court for the Colonels. Off the field, Langhi is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and balances a 3.75 GPA while taking two courses at Hopkinsville Community College.

Langhi still has some high school football left when he plays in the Best of the Bluegrass All-Star Football Game next month in Elizabethtown.
