With their latest loss at South Carolina, the Kentucky Wildcats continue to slip in Joe Lunard’s “Bracketology.” Under his latest NCAA bracket estimate, the ESPN college basketball guru places UK as a #5 seed in the West. Lunardi has the Wildcats taking on New Mexico State in the first round. In his bracket, should the Cats win their first game, Lunardi has UK taking on the winner of a game between Arizona and East Tennessee State.

Three other teams from the Bluegrass are included in Lunardi’s latest bracket.

The Murray State Racers are listed as a #14 seed in the West. Lunardi has the Racers taking on Xavier in the opening round.

Western Kentucky is placed as a #12 seed in the Midwest, and would face the Tennessee Volunteers in Lunardi’s bracket.

And, the Louisville Cardinals are placed in the South Region. The Cardinals are placed as a #7 seed in a first round game against Alabama.
