Lyon County’s Allison Murphy stays just as busy on the basketball court as she does off of it. The Lady Lyon junior leads her team in scoring (14.2 points) and rebounding (12.0) – both of which are near the top of the Second Region.
Allison does this while carrying a weighted 4.0 grade point average. Her involvement in school activities reads like a who’s who of a senior class – not just one student. Allison stays involved in the Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Pep Club, Young Democrats Club, Technology Student Association, 4-H, and gifted and talented.
Away from school, Allison is active in her church, Relay for Life, Operation Christmas Child, Upward Basketball, and the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Foundation.
Her activities make Allison a leader both on the court and off.
