Lady Wildcats Win Regular Season Finale

Trigg County senior Lauren Oliver was presented a basketball for scoring 1,000 career points and grabbing 1,000 career rebounds.

Trigg County closed out their regular season with a 74-10 win over Fort Campbell Thursday at Wildcat Gym. The Lady Wildcats scored the first 31 points of the game and cruised to the win over the winless Lady Falcons.

Trigg scored the first 31 points of the game and led 45-6 by halftime.

Nine different players scored for Trigg County, who got 32 points from their bench. Lauren Oliver, the lone senior for the Lady Wildcats, scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in her final game at Wildcat Gym. Katelyn Slone hit four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points.

Trigg also got eight points each from Isabella Alexander and Iyanna Grubbs.

Trinity Mincy knocked down three 3-pointers to lead the Lady Falcons with nine points.

Fort Campbell (0-23) will play Christian County Monday in the Eighth District Tournament at Christian County.

Trigg County (9-16) will play Livingston Central Tuesday in the Fifth District Tournament at Crittenden County.
