VIDEO- Cogbill Honored as Finalist for Army-Pro Football HOF Award

Sophomore Jack Cogbill received a visit from a Pro Football legend and was honored as a finalist for the U.S. Army-Pro Football Hall of Fame Award for Excellence in a ceremony at Fort Campbell High School on Tuesday afternoon.  Cincinnati Bengals legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz was on hand to recognize Cogbill as one of twenty-five finalists invited to Canton, OH during the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week in August.  The finalists and their guests will attend the Hall of Fame Game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Chicago Bears on August 2, followed by an August 4 luncheon at which the winner will be announced and awarded a $2,500 scholarship.  That evening, they’ll attend the Enshrinement Ceremony for the Class of 2018- Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile, Brian Dawkins, Jerry Kramer, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and Brian Urlacher.

Cogbill captained the Fort Campbell soccer team, and also wrestles for the Falcons.  He was named to the Academic All State 1st Team, served as a student council representative, and is a member of the Spanish and STEM clubs.  He’s also involved with the University Interscholastic League (UIL) for math and theater arts, Boy Scouts, and has worked with Military Family Readiness Groups.
