Alli Cundiff graduated last week as one of the most decorated female athletes in the history of University Heights Academy. She also graduated with honors and has been able to parlay her ability on the track, field, and classroom into a scholarship to Rhodes College in Memphis.

Cundiff was All-Region in soccer and was named All-State honorable mention after scoring 20 goals and assisting on nine others in addition to being one of the team’s top spot up defenders. She scored 33 goals and handed out 19 assists as a junior and finished with 65 goals and 34 assists over her final three years in high school.

On the track as a junior, Cundiff finished third in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Class 1A State Meet. She was also part of the 800-meter relay team that also finished fourth at the state meet.

Earlier in the month, Cundiff closed out her high school athletic career by winning the 300-meter hurdles at the Class 1A State Meet, becoming the first Lady Blazer athlete to win an individual event at the state meet. She also had a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles and third place finishes in the 100-meter dash and 1600-meter relay.

As a result, Cundiff was named the Midway University/KHSAA Class 1A Female Track Athlete of the Year

So how did Alli celebrate her graduation from high school? She is in Brazil on a mission trip before she prepares for her freshman season of athletics at Rhodes as the rare two-sport college athlete.
