A good weekend for the Kentucky Prospects Donald 17U team. The Prospects picked up wins on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to run their winning streak to five games.
Friday evening, the Prospects defeated the St. Louis Naturals 6-1. In the contest, UHA’s Drew McGowan went 1-3 with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI. Christian County’s Lane Diuguid went 0-2 in the game. Trigg County’s Riley Stallons went 1-2 with a run scored and an RBI. McGowan pitched one inning in the game, giving up no runs on no hits, striking out two and walking one.
On Saturday, the Prospects knocked off Top Tier Roos 2019 National 8-3. McGowan was 1-3 in the game with two runs scored. Diuguid went 0-1 with two walks and a run scored. Stallons did not come to the plate in the game. Diuguid pitched one inning in the game, giving up no runs on one hit, and striking out two.
Sunday afternoon, the Prospects came away with a 12-4 victory over Elite Performance. McGowan had a big afternoon, going 1-2, with two walks, a home run, three runs scored, and three RBIs. Diuguid was 1-4 with a triple and an RBI. Stallons went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI. McGowan went two innings on the mound, giving up no runs on no hits, striking out two and walking three.
