The annual KHSAA Dead Period begins Monday and runs through July 9.
During this time, athletes cannot use school facilities for athletic purposes and coaches may not have any contact with players in an athletic setting.
The KHSAA sent the schools a reminder Sunday that there is to be no use of school facilities, team uniforms, team or equipment, transportation, coaches, personnel, maintained or producible log of student-activity or anything else related to the athletic program during this time.
School funds may not be expended in support of interscholastic athletics in any KHSAA sanctioned sport during this period, and there is to be no communication between coaches and players during this period, including email, social media, texting, phone and all other forms.
