Christian County had a golfer finish in second place for the second straight day as senior Carson Holmes bagged a runner-up finish Saturday at the Madisonville Invitational at Lakeshore Country Club.
Holmes tied for second place with a score of 1-over 73 along with Madisonville’s Jackson Hill and Webster County’s Grant Puckett. Daviess County’s Daniel Love won the match with a score of 1-under 71.
Colonel John Buchanan, who finished second the previous day at Mineral Mound State Park, shot a 76 and finished tied for eighth place.
McCracken County took first place, 11 shots ahead of second place Union County.
