Caldwell County’s Campbell Knoth shot an 82 Thursday to win the Second Region All-A Classic Golf Tournament at Deer Lakes Golf Course in Salem.

The junior started slow but finished strong by shooting a 1-under par 35 on the back nine. Knoth is the only member – boys or girls – on the Caldwell County golf team. She will play at the All-A Classic State Tournament September 9 at Woodson Bend in Somerset.

Crittenden County’s Lauren Gilchrist finished second, four strokes behind Knoth. UHA seventh grader Rheagan Lindsey missed her first day of classes for good reason. She shot a 106 to finish third and also qualify for the state tournament.

On the boys’ side, Livingston Central’s Cameron Head shot a 4-over 76 to win the individual title. Teammate T-Roy Ringstaff finished second with an 80.

UHA’s Weston Wood shot an 84 to finish fifth and qualify for the state meet. Jiles Wyatt shot an 85 and missed qualifying by one shot.
