The Caldwell County Tigers rebounded from a disappointing All A loss to Lyon County by edging out St. Mary 3-2 Tuesday night in Paducah. Caldwell County (3-2-1) led twice with the Vikings equalizing both times, before senior forward Mitchell Scott put them away for good.

Scott opened the scoring in the 3rd minute off an assist from junior forward Collin Shaffer.  St. Mary would convert a penalty kick to even the score, before senior Jin Hong Zheng restored the lead in the 28th minute on an assist from Scott.  The flurry of first-half scoring would continue when St. Mary pulled even once again, sending the game to the halftime break at 2-2.

The Tigers would not waste time getting started in the second half, with senior defender Boyce Nichols setting up Scott for the winner in the 46th minute.

Caldwell County , ranked 8th in the most recent YourSportsEdge.com Second Region rankings, will travel to post Thursday to face the 6th ranked Fort Campbell Falcons (1-3).
