The Hopkinsville High School and local baseball community are rallying around Tiger baseball Coach Blake Leach, who is recovering after surgery this week.
On the last day of classes before Thanksgiving break Nov. 21 at Hopkinsville High School, Leach was found unconscious at his desk before noon. Emergency personnel were immediately contacted and transported Leach to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. After initial testing at JSMC, Leach was transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center. It appeared Leach had suffered a seizure during which he had hit his head. Once at Vanderbilt, it was determined he had a large mass behind his left ear, which was surgically removed on Monday.
Leach returned home Tuesday and will go back to Vanderbilt next week to discuss further treatment options. Please keep Coach Leach and his family in your prayers.
