Heritage Christian Academy suffered their second loss of the season on the court Thursday night after suffering a different loss off the court earlier in the week. The Warriors fell to Hendersonville Christian 66-60 Thursday at Warrior Gym, playing without leading scorer Gavin Fowler who will be out a week with an ankle injury suffered in practice this week.

Even without Fowler and his 20 points per game, the Warriors had enough offense to bring home the victory. Dalton Folz had a season-high 27 points and added eight rebounds. Josh Jones added 12 points, and Rajah Mills scored 10 points. Kam Cunningham got the start in Fowler’s spot and scored eight points.

HCA jumped out to an 18-10 lead after one quarter but was outscored 20-8 in the second frame to head into intermission down 30-26. The game remained close throughout the second half, but the Warriors could never get over the hump to take the lead late.

Heritage Christian (7-2) returns to action Monday when they host Jo Byrns at Warrior Gym.
