Hoptown Gets Back on Track With Win Over Fort Campbell (w/PHOTOS)

The Hopkinsville Tigers rebounded from Sunday’s loss to Bowling Green at the Hoop Fest by rolling over Fort Campbell on post Friday evening. The Tigers jumped out in front early and never looked back in cruising to the 93-54 win.

Hopkinsville led only 26-17 after one. However, the Tiger offense got rolling in the second quarter, as Hopkinsville outscored the Falcons 30-15 in the second quarter to take a 56-32 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Tigers kept the pressure coming in the third quarter. Hopkinsville pushed the lead on out to 81-52. In the fourth quarter, the Tiger defense limited the Falcons to only two points, as they finished out the night with the final 39 point margin.

Hopkinsville was led by Jacarius Burks with 25 points in the contest. Don Victor added 16, and Jamarion Sharp chipped in with 13.

Fort Campbell was paced by Jorden Clark with 22, while Cameron Johnson added 12 points.

Hopkinsville improves to 2-1 on the season, and gets ready for a big showdown with UHA on Tuesday. Fort Campbell falls to 1-4, and will return to action Monday at home against South Haven Christian.
