Wildcats Beat Falcons at Wrestling Duals

Trigg County defeated Fort Campbell 48-33 Tuesday to claim the second seed at this weekend’s State Duals Tournament at Lindsey Wilson College.

Trigg County had five wrestlers win their weight class.

106: Thomas Bruce beat Brock Sharp by fall
126: Ethan Futrell beat Jasmine Ward by fall
132: Isaac Aguiar beat Daniel Pomeroy by fall
138: Keegan Slone beat Jhony Paniagua by fall
145: Alex Spears beat John Cogbill by fall

Alexander Perry, Ikeim Lawson, and Colin Stevens won by forfeit.

Fort Campbell had five wrestlers take first place.

113: Alexei Royar beat Gavin Papajeski by fall.
120: Nevin Beagle beat Liam Grubaugh by fall.
182: Ethan Tomerlin beat Mandee Schermerhorn by fall.
195: Jesus Avila beat Andrew Hendricks 9-2.
285: Darion Dunn beat Ty Saez by fall.

Justin Wilson won by forfeit.

Union County will be the region’s top seed at the state duals Saturday, while Trigg County will be the second seed.
