Conference Woes Continue for Warriors

Heritage Christian Academy’s woes in KCAA play continued Saturday as they dropped a 74-63 decision at Somerset Christian.

A 20-9 start for Somerset proved to be too deep a hole for HCA to climb out of. HCA outscored Somerset 49-47 in the second half.

Gavin Fowler led HCA (10-15) with 24 points, and Dalton Folz added 18 points. Dakota Brake added 11 points.

On Friday, Heritage Christian lost to Bethel 64-56 which will relegate the Warriors to a three-seed in the postseason tournament.

The second quarter was the difference in the game as Bethel outscored HCA 20-12. The other three quarters were played to draws.

Rajah Mills led HCA with 20 points, including a 7-of-9 effort from the free throw line. Gavin Fowler added 18 points.
Josh Ammons led Bethel with 21 points.

On Thursday, HCA lost to Northside Baptist of Mayfiueld 76-69 as Fowler hit for 20 points, and Josh Jones added 16 points, including four 3-pointers.

Gage Hobbs led Northside with a game-high 31 points.
