Jordan Majors is leaving Florida Tech as the school’s all-time leading scorer after filling the net for 32 points Wednesday in a 102-83 loss to Barry.

The former Hopkinsville High standout knocked down a jumper with 25 seconds left in the game to give him 1,898 points, passing the previous mark of 1,896 set by Justin Sedlak in 2011.

“I am really proud of the journey Jordan has had at Florida Tech,” said head coach Billy Mims. “The very first week he was on campus FIT, he tore his ACL during a pickup game and had to medically redshirt and miss his first year. He came back from that devastating injury and was a four-year starter and one of the most consistent players I ever coached in my career at Florida Tech or anywhere else.”

Majors averaged 22.5 points and 4.8 rebounds for Florida Tech, who finished their season with a record of 13-16.

At Hopkinsville, he helped lead the Tigers to the semifinals of the Boys Sweet 16 and was named to the All-Tournament team.
