After winning back-to-back KCAA State Softball titles in 2014-15, Heritage Christian Academy has fallen one game short the past two seasons to North Hardin Christian.  Lady Warrior Coach Linda Gerris feels like the pieces are in place to return the state championship trophy to Hopkinsville in 2018.

The Lady Warriors return seven seniors that helped them advance to the KCAA State title game for the fourth straight season in 2017.  Pitcher Nicole Holland and third baseman Katie Ruth return after being named to the KCAA All-State Team and All-State Tournament Team last year.

Senior Madison Powell returns at shortstop, and Rachel West is back at first base.  The lone underclassman on the infield is freshman Kinley Deason at second base.

Seniors Katie Lowry, Jordan Reed and Courtney Allen join sophomore Jordan Trumble for the three outfield spots.

Eighth grader Kaitlyn Kaetzel takes over for All-State catcher Arianna Brown, who was the lone player lost to graduation from last year.

Pitching and defense will again be the key for the Lady Warriors in 2018.  Holland’s experience in the circle should give them an edge in league play, but the defense getting her off the field with minimal pitches will hold the key to success.
