Tra West won the 195-pound class at the state powerlifting meet.
Christian County finished fifth at the Kentucky State Powerlifting Meet Saturday at Central Hardin High School in Cecilia.
The Colonels had two lifters win individual state titles. Trajon Wilson won the 145-pound class with a total lift in the clean and bench of 440 pounds. He edged teammate K.T. Pollard by 10 pounds, with Pollard finishing second. Tra West won the 195-pound class with a total of 520 pounds.
Austin Grant-Hall finished fourth in the 145-pound class with a lift of 420 pounds. Quayvon Williams (185), L’Ray Coleman (195), and Jerome Smith all finished fifth in their respective class.
Christian County finished fifth with 33 points. McCracken County and Perry County Central tied for second place with 37 points. Hopkinsville, which had won six straight state titles, finished eighth.
