Caldwell County is ranked 17th in the Kentucky Prep Baseball Report preseason top 25 released on Monday.
The Tigers were 26-10 last year in winning their second straight Second Region baseball title. With most of their starters back in 2018, Caldwell County is considered the favorite to repeat as both All-A region champs and Second Region champs.
The Tigers are the only Second Region team in the top 25. PRP is ranked first, followed by Highlands, Scott County, Johnson Central, and Franklin-Simpson in the top five. McCracken County is No. 7, Paducah Tilghman No. 13, Logan County No. 15, and Bowling Green No. 16.
Caldwell County is scheduled to open their season Thursday at Trigg County.
