Trigg Arrowcats Grab Top 10 Finish at NASP State Tourney

Trigg County High School’s Arrowcats finished ninth at the NASP State Tournament Saturday in Louisville. Trigg County totaled 3,374 points, good for ninth out of 106 teams.

Kaylin Smith shot a 291 to finish 10th in the state in the female division. Her sister Audrey shot a 284 to finish 63rd. Macy Mitchell shot a 279 to finish 156th, and Brooklyn Schubert shot a 272 to finish 334th out of 1,081 archers.

Mitchell also shot a 287 in the IBO/3D Challenge to finish fourth out of 180 female archers.

For the guys, Garrett Knight led Trigg County with a score of 286, good for 55th. Chase Oglesby also shot a 286 to finish 59th. Cole Joyce (131st) and Daniel Martin (133rd) both shot a 282.

Madison Central shot a 3,438 to repeat as state champion. Bullitt Central (3,429) was second followed by Muhlenberg County (3,409) and Henderson County (3,408).

Josh Ingram was the top middle school shooter with a score of 288 to finish seventh out of 1,341 shooters. McKenna Green was Trigg’s top female shooter with a score of 279, good for 69th place.

Ingram also finished ninth in the state out of 177 shooters in the IBO/3D Challenge.

Trigg County finished 22nd as a team with 3,257 points.

Jonah Hamby (114th) and Rachel Monroe (276th) were the top shooters for Trigg County Intermediate School.

As a team, Trigg Intermediate finished 57th out of 81 schools in the elementary division.
