Trigg County avenged an earlier season loss to Graves County with a 4-3 win over the Lady Eagles Saturday at the Lady Cat Invitational.

Trigg jumped ahead 2-1 in the first inning on a single by Kara Southwood, two Graves County errors, and an RBI single from Autumn Durham.

Graves County tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning on an RBI double by Chloe Grover.

Trigg retook the lead when Adri Phillips’ double scored courtesy runner Isabella Alexander from first base. Seventh grader Alyssa Southwood followed with an RBI single.

Graves scored a run in the sixth inning, but Hannah Colbert stranded the tying run at second base with her sixth strikeout of the game. She allowed three earned runs and six hits in six innings to get the win.

Kara Southwood finished with two hits for the Lady Wildcats.

Grover and Bailey Wilson both had two hits for Graves County (11-4), who rallied to beat Trigg County 11-4 on April 10.

Trigg County (13-6) looks to stay unbeaten in district play Monday when they host Livingston Central.
