Christian County Relay Teams Strong at the Swift and Staley Challenge

Four of Christian County’s boys’ relay teams finished in the top seven, and the girls had two in the top five Saturday at the Swift and Staley Midwest Challenge in Paducah.

Here are the top 20 finishers for Christian County at the event.

BOYS

K’Ron Sherald finished third in the 400-meter dash (52.12) and 12th in the 200-meter dash (23.81)
John Banks finished eighth in the 100-meter dash (11.96) and 13th in the 200-meter dash (23.90)
Dustin Montgomery was eighth in the discus throw (117-06) and 12th in the shot put (35-09)
Kenyon Drayton was 13th in the 300-meter hurdles (45.88) and 17th in the 110-meter hurdles (19.41)
Rajahn Tandy finished 13th in the 400-meter dash (56.68)
Hasai Powell was 14th in the shot put (34-04) and 19th in the discus throw (83-03)
Julian Williams finished 15th in the 400-meter run (56.98)
Ethan Dooley was 17th in the 300-meter hurdles (47.06)
Antonio Abren finished 17th in the 100-meter dash (12.08)
Ellis Dunn was 17th in the long jump (17-04)
The 2×50 meter relay team won in 15.42
The 400-meter relay team was seventh (46.31)
The 800-meter relay team was fifth (1:38.37)
The 1600-meter relay team was seventh (3:39.50)

GIRLS

Jameisha Mack was ninth in the discus throw (96-03)
Autumn Bell was 10th in the 200-meter dash (27.37) and 16th in the 400-meter dash (1:08.06)
Ashanti Banks was 12th in the 400-meter dash (1:05.73)
Cierra Ward was 16th in the 200-meter dash (28.52) and 19th in the 100-meter dash (13.92)
Olivia Bostick was 16th in the 800-meter dash (2:46.16)
Aroyonna Johnson was 16th in the long jump (14-04.75)
Eniya McGee was 20th in the 100-meter dash (14.04) and 18th in the long jump (14-02.50)
The 400-meter relay team was third (51.41)
The 1600-meter relay team was fourth (4:19.19)

As a team, Christian County finished 14th in both the boys’ and girls’ team standings.
