Lady Wildcats Blanked for the First Time in 2018

Trigg County was shut out for the first time in 24 games Monday, falling to Crittenden County 4-0 at the Complex.

Chandler Moss kept Trigg County off balance all night although she wasn’t fooling them completely. Moss allowed five hits and walked no one bit only struck out two. She induced 10 ground outs and seven fly outs as the Lady Rocket defense played errorless ball behind her.

Kaitlyn Hicks had two hits, including a double, and Ellie Smith added an RBI triple for Crittenden.

Hannah Colbert had two hits for the Lady Wildcats, while Madison Simpson, Ashlyn Keller, and Maggie Snodgrass each had singles. Colbert allowed two earned runs and struck out seven. It was the first time this year that Trigg County was shut out.

Crittenden County (14-5, 3-1) travels to Livingston Central Thursday.

Trigg County (14-8, 2-1) plays at Lyon County Thursday.
