A student athlete at Fort Campbell High School has been selected as one of two female delegates to represent the state of Kentucky at the 2018 National Federation of State High School Associations National Student Leadership Summit. According to DoDEA Americas, the three day summit focuses on relevant and contemporary issues in high school athletics.

During the summit, students hone their leadership qualities to develop skills that will enable them to effectively lead their peers at school and assist their state athletic associations. The program also teaches student leaders to develop and maintain healthy relationships with teammates, coaches, adult leaders, and officials. Additionally, student ambassadors learn how to establish a positive electronic identity with social media.

She applied for the program because she says she wanted to increase her leadership skills in an effort to inspire and motivate her peers and her community.
