Christian County, ranked fifth in the statewide coaches’ poll, continued the onslaught in the sixth inning when Blane walked ahead of O’Daniel’s 12th homer of the season. An error and Macy Lancaster double finished out the scoring for the Lady Colonels.

Both Blane and O’Daniel finished with two homers and three RBIs. Lancaster and Jones also had two hits for the Lady Colonels.

Sophomore Hannah Sumner put together one of her better games in the circle for the Lady Colonels, giving up two earned runs and striking out four for the complete game win.

Lakyn Largent had a pair of doubles for the Lady Mustangs, who entered the week ranked No. 7 in the statewide coaches’ poll but have dropped two games to the Lady Colonels. They are coached by former Lady Colonel skipper Tony Hayden.

Christian County finishes the season with a 13-0 home record – the first time in nearly two decades the Lady Colonels posted an unbeaten home record.
