The Trigg County Lady Wildcat softball team had a great run during the 2018 season. The Lady Wildcats reached the 5th District championship game and the quarterfinal round of the 2nd Region tournament, where they lost to eventual region champion Christian County.
Additionally, the Lady Wildcats picked up a total of 22 wins on the season. With those numbers come recognition for one of the members of the Lady Wildcat squad.
The Class 2A All-State teams have been announced, with the players selected coming from the middle 1/3 of schools in the state, based on enrollment. Trigg County junior pither Hannah Colbert was named to the 2nd Team All-State.
Colbert set school records with 18 wins and 307 strikeouts in 201 innings pitched. She had an ERA of 2.54 and walked just 50 batters.
At the plate, Colbert hit .368 with five home runs and 20 RBIs.
