Mashea Glover - Caldwell County
Another tough day Wednesday for three Caldwell County Lady Tigers and their Louisville Lady Sluggers Premiere-JB team. For the second day in a row, the Lady Sluggers dropped a pair of games at an event in Colorado.
In the opening game of the day, the Lady Sluggers dropped a 9-3 decision to the Omaha Tigers Premiere 16U team.
For the Lady Sluggers, Mashea Glover was 0-2 with a walk and a run scored. Emma Staples went 2-3 in the game with a home run, an RBI and a run scored. Katie Franklin was 0-2 at the plate.
In their second game Wednesday, the Lady Sluggers saw the OK Athletics 16U Gold team break open a tie game with 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning for a 7-4 win.
Mashea Glover had a solid game at the plate, going 2-3 with a home run, a run scored and and RBI. Emma Staples was 1-2 at the plate, while Katie Franklin was 0-2.
Franklin went four innings in the circle, giving up five runs, four of them earned, on 6 hits, while striking out three and walking three.
