The Trigg County boys’ soccer team took a 1-0 lead in the first half against Murray High on Thursday night in Cadiz, but the Tigers stormed back to claim a 5-1 scrimmage victory.

Sophomore Will Jolly scored inside the first 10 minutes and the Wildcats’ margin held until Murray got on the board twice in the final 10 minutes of the half.  Seniors Trevor Harrison and Zak Mathis scored the Tiger goals.  Mathis tacked on two more in the second half to complete his hat trick, with senior midfielder Nick Bokeno converting a penalty kick for the final 5-1 score.

Freshman Josh Eaton had one save in goal for the Tigers, with sophomore Nathan Rogers making three stops.  Trigg County junior goalkeeper Matthew Smith had nine saves.

The Wildcats won’t play again until the season-opener against Fort Campbell on August 13, while the Tigers will scrimmage the Falcons next week.
