Wildcat Golfers Show Off Balance in Winning Tri-Match

Normally their Nos. three and four golfers, Caleb Federspiel and Darrin Goodwin led the way for Trigg County at the tri-match Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.

Federspiel shot a 37, and Goodwin added a 39 to help Trigg County beat UHA by 13 shots and Hopkinsville by 14 shots.

Grayson Thomas shot a 41, followed by Ethan Nolcox (43), Hayden Reynolds (45), Ty Butts (46), and Hunter Reynolds (46).

Alex Ethridge shot a 43 to earn medalist honors for the ladies.

Trigg County had two golfers break 80 and finished sixth out of 21 teams at the Dawson Springs Invitational at Pennyrile Forest State Park Saturday.

Hunter Reynolds shot a 3-over 75 to finish tied for sixth place. Grayson Thomas added a 79.

Darrin Goodwin shot an 86, Ty Butts shot a 97, and Ethan Nolcox had a 98 for the Wildcats.

Trigg County entered a second team in the event, led by Dallas Ahart’s score of 100.

Marshall County’s Tyler Powell shot a 70 to win the event.
