UHA Golfers Represent Well at All A Girls State Tournament

A very young UHA Lady Blazers golf team represented its self very well at the All A Girls State Golf Tournament Saturday in Richmond. While the boys tournament was shortened to a nine hole event, the girls were able to get all 18 holes in during their tournament.

The Lady Blazers shot a 451 on the day, placing them in 10th place for the tournament. Lexington Christian won the tournament with a team score of 308. Green County shot a 330 to finish second.

Scores for the Lady Blazers were:

Rheagan Lindsey – 97
Riley Johnson – 111
Sloan Hampton – 121
Valie Smith – 122
Jessah Hayden – 128

Laney Frye, of Lexington Christian, won the individual title with a score of 72. Frye tied with Hallie Boles, of Barbourville, but won the tiebreaker. Boles finished in 2nd place.
