Lady Wildcats Top Crittenden to Stop Slide

The Trigg County girls’ soccer team put the brakes on a five-game losing streak on Tuesday night, beating visiting Crittenden County 5-2.  The Lady Wildcats improve to 2-1 in 5th District play and 3-8 overall, while the Lady Rockets are winless against district opponents and stand at 1-7-1 on the year.

Senior Madisen Ireland hit the ground running with 4 goals in her first game after missing the previous four with a foot injury.  Fellow senior Brittany Kelly also got on the score sheet, while Kali Oakley added an assist.  Goalkeeper Julia Rhone earned the win for the Lady Wildcats.

Up next for Trigg County is a road match with Mayfield (0-6-1) on Thursday.
