Hopkinsville snapped a four-game losing streak and picked up their first district win of the season with a 4-0 shutout of Fort Campbell at the Stadium of Champions Thursday.

Hoptown scored three goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half to take control of the contest, and the Lady Tiger defense pitched their second shutout of the season.

Ana Hernandez scored twice in the first half, and Keeli Miles scored a goal in each half for the Hoptown offense. Hernandez, Grasen Givens, and Peyton Lewis each had an assist, and Natajea Babb had five saves in goal.

Fort Campbell had several chances early in the second half to cut into the deficit, but two shots hit off the crossbar and sidebar.

The loss means Fort Campbell (4-6) will likely be the four seed in the Eighth District Tournament. Even a win over University Heights on Sept. 24 would push them into a tie-breaker with Hoptown and Christian County, who the Lady Falcons have lost to.

Hopkinsville (4-6) will meet Christian County on Sept. 20 in what will likely be a preview of a first round district tournament matchup.
