Christian County is starting to play their best soccer at the right time. The Colonels handed Lyon County a 9-2 loss Monday for their seventh win of the season – two more than all of last year and the most since 2015.
Emmanuel Ixcol scored four goals for the second consecutive game and chipped in with two assists for the Colonels. Yeffrey Macario also had a pair of goals as five different Colonels found the net. Benito Rubio, Kenton Lancaster, and Marcus Crockam also scored for Christian County.
Travis Crayne scored off a Clay Haines assist for Lyon County, and Trace Adams added a penalty kick to knot the game at 2-2 before Christian County scored the final seven goals of the contest.
Lyon County (1-14-1) will host Webster County Tuesday, while Christian County (7-10-1) hosts Caldwell County.
