Hunter Shelton and Dallas Ahart continued their strong fall on the water by winning the Kentucky Lake Showdown hosted by Marshall County High School Saturday on Kentucky Lake.

Two fish was all it took for Hunter Shelton (left) and Dallas Ahart to win the Kentucky Lake Showdown Saturday.

The Trigg County duo caught two fish weighing 4-pounds, 13-ounces, which was nearly a pound more than second place McCracken County. Their fish weighed 2-pounds, 13-ounces and two pounds.

Conditions and patterns on Kentucky Lake has been extremely tough for bass fishermen in the past couple of months for a variety of reasons. Only 12 of the 39 teams that entered the event landed a keeper to be weighed.

Other boats that tried to get a fish into the boat were Hopkinsville’s Joey Chaudoin and Lanie Brumfield and Trigg County’s Anthony Ethridge and Trey Carr.
