Lady Blazers Nab Two Wins at Trinity Shootout

University Heights Academy went 2-0 at the Whitesville Trinity Shootout over the weekend, capping play with a 53-37 win over Cannelton, Ind.

Ten different Lady Blazers scored in the contest as UHA led 14-6 after one quarter and built a 29-13 lead by halftime. They led by 26 after three quarters before Cannelton made a brief run against the UHA reserves.

Aisha Pantiere led UHA with 13 points and received player of the game honors. Lily Hendricks joined Pantiere in double figures with 10 points. Alex Juckett scored eight points, and Meghan Adams added seven points.

Caressa Sloss led Cannelton (2-7) with 23 points.

On Friday, Hendricks scored 19 points to lead the Lady Blazers to a 47-40 win over McLean County. Hendricks received player of the game honors for her night on the hardwood.

UHA (2-1) will host Trigg County Tuesday at Blazer Gym.
