After suffering a surprise, last second loss to Dawson Springs on Saturday, the Lyon County boys’ basketball team cruised to a 82-66 bounce back victory at Union County on Monday night.  Travis Perry scored 26 points to help the Lyons to their fourth win of the season, while Union County slips to 1-3 on the year.

The Lyons took a 17-13 lead after the first quarter, with Kale Gaither’s 8 points keeping the Braves within striking distance.  The Lyons closed the first half on a 20-4 run to double-up Union County 42-21 at the break.

Lyon County led by as many as 24 in the third, before a Braves’ run cut the margin to 12 in the fourth quarter.  But with just over 3:00 to play, the lead was back to 18 and the Lyons closed out the 16-point victory.

Perry provided 11 assists to go with his 26 points for the Lyons, Jackson Shoulders finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Gabe DeFew had 11 and 5.  Kade Blackburn shot a blistering 6 of 7 from 3, finishing with 20 points.
