Hall Sparks Second Half Run in Falcon Win Over Dawson Springs

Fort Campbell used a 23-12 run to start the second half and pull away from Dawson Springs 85-70 Thursday at Falcon Gym.

Doryan Hall scored 18 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter as the Falcons overcame 39 free throw attempts by the Panthers. Dawson Springs hit 27 free throws as the Falcons were called for 31 fouls in the contest.

Andrew Syester added 11 points and eight rebounds, and Cameron Johnson scored eight points and pulled down nine rebounds before fouling out.

The Falcons led 18-16 after one quarter and 40-38 at halftime before making their second half surge. Fort Campbell had fewer chances at the free throw line but shot 50-percent (35/70) from the field.

Skylar Clark led Dawson Springs with 33 points, including an 11-of-16 night at the free throw line. Ethan Huddleston and Austin Skinner each scored 11 points.

The Panthers struggled from long range, shooting just 3-of-34 from behind the arc.

Dawson Springs fell to 4-3 on the season and will travel to Union County Saturday.

Fort Campbell actually picked up two wins on the day. Earlier, they found out they would be awarded a win over the Clarksville Academy because the Tennessee school used an ineligible player. TCA had won the Nov. 30 contest 69-28.

The Falcons are now 3-2 and will play at Christian Fellowship Friday.
