Strong play by Warren East’s guards helped the Raiders blow past Trigg County 79-54 Saturday in a sectional contest of the inaugural Class 2A Championships in Bowling Green.

Defensively, the Raiders turned up the pressure to force 27 Trigg turnovers that resulted in 37 Warren East points.

Offensively, Warren East hit 11-of-26 from behind the arc and had an answer for any Trigg run they tried to make. The Raiders led 24-16 after one quarter and 38-24 at halftime.

Jakobe Bridges hit four 3-pointers and finished with 19 points for the Wildcats. Kenny Adams added nine points, and Hayden Cunningham and Shaun Terrell both scored six points. Terrell also had eight rebounds.
