Warriors Pick Up Three Conference Wins Saturday

Heritage Christian kept right on rolling on the hardwood with three conference wins Saturday to push their season record to 12-2 and 8-2 against KCAA competition this year.

In the opener, HCA claimed a 63-39 win the Academy of Individual Excellence in McDaniels.

The Warriors, ranked third in the latest KCAA Power Poll, jumped out to a 19-8 lead after one quarter and extended it to 31-18 by halftime. A 22-7 third quarter run sealed the win for HCA.

Dalton Folz had another huge game for Heritage Christian with 15 points and 22 rebounds. Josh Jones added 15 points and eight rebounds as part of the balanced Warrior attack.

Gavin Fowler had 11 points and six steals, and Rajah Mills had eight points.

Against, Assumption, the Warriors could never put the Horsemen away. They led 19-14 after one quarter and 33-24 at halftime before posting a 52-47 win.

Dalton Folz had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Gavin Fowler had 16 points and five assists.

In the nightcap against Bethel, the Warriors got balanced scoring to steadily pull away for a 71-43 win.

Dakota Brake, Dalton Folz, and Gavin Fowler each had 14 points, and freshman Derek Wadlington came off the bench to score nine points as the Warriors put up 21 points in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors return to action Monday at Hendersonville, Tenn.
