Lady Falcons Fall to Cumberland County in Russellville Tourney

The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons had one of their better overall performances of the season Thursday, but still ended up dropping their 12th game in a row. The young and inexperienced Lady Falcons fell to Cumberland County 48-19 in the Russellville Holiday Classic.

Cumberland County jumped out to a 17-5 lead after the opening quarter. The Lady Panthers then limited the Lady Falcons to just two points in the 2nd quarter, as they pushed the lead out to 30-8 at the half.

Fort Campbell’s offensive troubles hit a peak during the 3rd quarter, as Cumberland County held the Lady Falcons to just a free throw in extending the lead out to 38-8.

Fort Campbell kept battling into the 4th quarter, and outscored the Lady Panthers 11-10 to finish out the game.

Asia Cabill and Danielle Houston led Fort Campbell with 7 points each.
