Caldwell County brought home a sixth place finish Saturday at the Toyota of Hopkinsville Christian County Wrestling Invitational.
The Tigers had three wrestlers finish in the top three and seven wrestlers score in the tournament.
Dylan Walls, who has moved up to the 120-pound class after finishing seventh in the state at 106 last year, finished second Saturday. Walls went 3-1 and lost to William Witt of Cane Ridge, Tenn. in the title match. Walls is ranked seventh in the 113-pound class.
Riley Johnson took third place in the 106-pound class, beating Brandon Adorno of Clarksville Northwest in his final match of the day. Johnson is ranked 16th in the state in the weight class by Kentuckywrestling.com.
Seth Slayton, who has worked himself up to a No. 9 ranking at 170, finished third in the division Saturday. He defeated John Overton’s Mohammad Ahmadi to claim third.
James Jones, who is ranked 18th in the state in the 120-pound class, finished fourth in the 126-pound class Saturday. He finished 3-2 on the afternoon.
Colin Walls won two matches on the day and finished sixth in the 145-pound class.
John Parades, who is ranked ninth in the state at 152, also won two matches Saturday and finished sixth in the class.
Caldwell County totaled 94 points to finish in sixth place. Union County won with 283.5 points, followed by McCracken County (219.5), Christian County (204.5), and Ohio County (100.5).
