Dawson Springs led wire to wire in beating Ballard Memorial 47-35 in the first game of the West Kentucky Hoops Classic at Caldwell County.
The Lady Panthers scored the first eight points of the game and led 14-6 after one quarter. Ballard would not get closer than seven points the rest of the half.
Erin Orten led Dawson Springs with 20 points and nine rebounds. Denisha Randolph added 10 points, and Kire Peyton scored nine points.
Dawson Springs kept their second throughout the contest by knocking down 15-of-23 free throws.
Autumn Dowdy led Ballard Memorial (3-8) with 11 points.
Dawson Springs (5-5) will play Collins Friday afternoon in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic.
