VIDEO – Ethan Tomerlin Wins 100th Match for Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell sophomore Ethan Tomerlin picked up his 100th career wrestling match win Friday at the Father Ryan Johnny Drennan Memorial in Nashville.

Tomerlin won his first match by pin and his second match by a 10-6 decision. He was injured and could not complete his final two matches Saturday.

Tomerlin, who wrestles in the 182-pound division, is only the ninth Fort Campbell wrestler in the past decade to win 100 matches.

Elsewhere, Jesus Avila picked up a sixth place finish at the tournament. He lost in an ultimate tie-breaker to Evan Clemmons of Lebanon, Tenn. 4-3.

Justin Wilson didn’t place, but did win three matches in the 220-pound class.

As a team, Fort Campbell scored 28 points to finish 31st out of 44 teams.
