Three University Heights Academy basketball players are reaching scoring milestones in their senior season for the Blazers.
Drew McGowan topped the 1,000-point mark in UHA’s December 13 win over Madisonville. After Tuesday’s win over Christian County, McGowan has 1,153 career points.
Taquan Hollowell joined the 1,000-point club Saturday’s in UHA’s win over Murray at McCracken County’s Mustang Madness. Hollowell now sits at 1,045 career points.
Xavier signee Kyky Tandy scored 31 points in Tuesday’s win over Christian County and now has 2,882 career points. He needs 118 points to join Harry Todd of Earlington and Ty Rogers of Lyon County as the only 3,000-point scorers from the Second Region.
UHA Coach Grant Shouse said the trio will be recognized for reaching their milestones at a later home basketball game.
