Eli Pepper Tops 900 Career Rebounds at Lipscomb

Eli Pepper was visited by Caldwell's fourth-grade basketball team, which took in Lipscomb's win Saturday afternoon in Nashville.

Eli Pepper has topped 900 career rebounds at Lipscomb University and has moved into the Top 10 all-time in the ASUN Conference.

The former Caldwell County standout had four points, a team-high six rebounds and five assists in the Bisons’ 102-80 win over North Alabama on Saturday afternoon in Nashville.

Pepper, a 6-foot-8 senior forward, now has 905 rebounds at Lipscomb and is on pace to top 1,000 for his career.

He is 24 boards away from passing Ricardo Glenn of South Carolina Upstate for ninth all-time in conference history.

Only three ASUN players have reached the 1,000-rebound plateau. Thad Delaney of College of Charleston heads the list with 1,119.

Pepper, who is seventh on Caldwell’s all-time scoring list with 1,307 points, has scored 825 points at Lipscomb. He is second all-time in rebounds at Caldwell with 1,172.

Pepper is a four-year starter for the Bisons.

Lipscomb has won nine straight games and improved to 18-4 overall and 9-0 in league play.

The Bisons have won 17 straight games against ASUN opponents. That’s the second-longest such streak in the country behind only Gonzaga’s 21.

Pepper, who is averaging 7.5 points and 7.2 rebounds a game this season, and Lipscomb return to action on Wednesday when they visit North Florida.
