Trigg County was able to get on the water for the first time in six weeks Saturday as they had three boats reach the scales at the Marshall County Open on Kentucky Lake.
Jordan Hampton and Andrew Greene caught two fish weighing 8-pounds, 11-ounces to finish sixth out of the 31 boats that returned to Kentucky Dam Marina with fish. Hampton was able to haul in a 6-pound, 6-ounce bass with less than five minutes left.
Trey Carr and Dylan Chambless finished 18th with two fish weighing 4-pounds, 11-ounces. Chase Oglesby and Avery Harper had one fish in their bag that Harper brought onto the boat that weighed 3-pounds, 15-ounces.
Trigg County’s top three teams totaled 17-pounds, 15-ounces to finish in sixth place. The top three boats went toward the team score. Calloway County won the team title with 33-pounds, 5-ounces.
