Christian County Duo Takes Second at Marshall County Open (w/PHOTOS)

Christian County, like other schools in western Kentucky, were finally able to get on the water and fish for the first time in a competitive setting Saturday at the Marshall County Open on Kentucky Lake.

Christian County’s Tyler Harrison and Ty Blanton caught three fish weighing 12-pounds, 5-ounces which was good enough for second place. Calloway County’s Myles McManus and Ethan Tidwell were the only boat to catch the five fish limit. They won with 23-pounds, 14-ounces.

Cameron Acree and Chance Lee finished tied for 15th place with two fish weighing 5-pounds, 4-ounces. The Colonels had three other boats fail to make the scales.

The two teams totaled 17-pounds, 9-ounces which was good for fifth place in the team division. The top three boats went toward the team score. Calloway County won the team title with 33-pounds, 5-ounces.
