The game started out like it would finish with a score more fitting of a football game. Each team loaded the bases in their first two at bats. Barren County scored two in the top of the 1st to go up 2-0. The Trojanettes took advantage of a walk and a Todd Central error to tally the two runs.

The Lady Rebels responded with two runs in their half of the inning to tie the game at 2-2, taking advantage of an error and a walk from the Lady Trojans. The big hits in the inning were a single from Emma Harris and a two RBI single from Samantha Case.

Barren County came right back and scored four runs in the top of the 2nd inning to go up 6-2. The Trojanettes opened the inning with a walk, back-to-back-to-back singles, and a double to score all four runs with no outs in the inning.

The Lady Rebels responded with six runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning, seemingly taking control of the game with a 8-6 lead. The big hit in the inning came in the form of a bases loaded triple from Samantha Case. The Lady Rebels were the beneficiaries of four walks, a hit batter, and a Barren County error.

Todd County added a run to their lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Lindsey Roe led off the inning with a double and then later scored on a ground out to put the Lady Rebels up 9-6.

The turning point in the game came in the top of the 5th inning. The Trojanettes were able to take advantage of some pitching struggles from the Lady Rebels and push across seven runs in the top of the 5th inning. The big hit was a deep 3 run home run to left center by freshman shortstop Allie Anderson. The inning ended with Barren County up 13-9. The Trojanettes came up with seven hits in the inning.

The Trojanettes added some insurance in the top of the 6th inning with three more runs to extend the lead to 16-9. Turned out it was unneeded insurance, as freshman pitcher Lilie Broady closed out the game by silencing the Todd County Central bats.

Samantha Case had a big game for the Lady Rebels, going 3-4 with a single, a double, and a triple. Case also had five RBIs.

The loss drops Todd County Central to 1-3 on the season.
